My Journey So Far
I’ve worked my fair share of jobs.
From retail manager to housekeeper to Lowe’s cashier, a barista, and even a stint at HMV back when CDs and DVDs were a thing.
When I graduated college in 2015, I realized I wasn’t ready to dive straight into the traditional 9-to-5 grind. The thought of working 40 hours a week until retirement didn’t sit well with me. I craved something different, something better.
I wanted to move abroad and travel.
At 21, I packed my bags and moved to Australia, a country I’d never visited and where I didn’t know anyone. Some people thought I was crazy, but it turned out to be one of the most incredible years of my life.
After that, I was hooked on the idea of exploring the world. But first, I needed to save up and figure out how to make long-term travel a reality.
In 2017, I discovered the concept of working and travelling full-time. Seeing people online actually living that lifestyle inspired me, and I knew that was the life I wanted for myself.
Fast forward to 2021: I finally left my full-time job as a retail manager at a Lindt chocolate shop and went back to college to study digital marketing.
This time, I had a clear goal: I wanted to be able to work on my own terms, and I knew freelancing would give me control over my schedule, income, and the flexibility to work from anywhere.
Now, in 2025, I’m living that dream. For almost two years, I’ve been working remotely while travelling full-time.
Through this blog, I want to share my journey and inspire others to explore the world. Whether you're new to travel or need a nudge to take the leap, I hope my experiences and tips will help you make it happen.
